It is my honor to serve this year as your 68th Commodore of the Boston Yacht Club. On behalf of the Flag Officers, Board of Trustees and Membership, I welcome you to our historic club.

Since 1866, our members have been passionate and united to promote yachting and boating activities. From the organization of the U.S Power Squadron to co-hosting the prestigious Marblehead to Halifax Ocean race with our friends at the Royal Nova Scotia Yacht Squadron since 1905. The Boston Yacht Club has promoted the spirit of Corinthian yachting, sportsmanship, fun and giving back to the community.

Today, if you enjoy sailing, power boating, fishing, kayaking or just simple comradery, you will find a group of like-minded members here at the Boston.
From the beginning, the Boston Yacht Club has been a member-driven club. Our volunteer committees manage, organize, and largely run the majority of the activities and core services of the club. From monitoring the club finances, long range planning, facility improvements, social activities, running sailing or boating events, the members have a large role in the success and fun at the club. I encourage all members, new and seasoned, to find a committee and get involved. It can be a rewarding experience.

I welcome you to come in and look around. You can contact our General Manager to provide you with additional information regarding our Club’s facilities and membership opportunities.
